The headquarters for FIA’s new Formula E global racing series, located at Donington Park, Derby, have been officially inaugurated, with teams and staff already starting to move in, a news report in the local business media has recently revealed.

The new facilities available on the site include new headquarters, offices, stores and workshops. All of the new buildings meet the BREEAM Very Good sustainable construction standards, plus the government’s Low Carbon Economy and National Planning Policy Framework requirements. Vinci Construction UK was the main contractor for the site.

Chris Hamer, Managing Director, VINCI Construction UK, Building – Regional, commented: "We are very pleased to have played a critical role in making the Formula E headquarters fit for purpose, and of course, to play a role in supporting and reinvigorating the British motorsport industry."

Given the future use of these new facilities, implementing a very solid and reliable access control system across the entire site is a must, especially for those specific areas where access should be restricted (teachers-only areas, etc.).

Access Control UK employs a variety of access control technologies in order to create advanced solutions, enable users to exert solid, reliable and accurate control over the access to specific premises or zones.

If you’d like to find out more about the range of solutions supplied by Access Control UK, both in terms of hardware (smart card readers, biometric readers, turnstiles, etc.) and software (access rights management software solutions, etc.), just contact us, we’ll be more than happy to answer any queries you might have.
