Fire roll report ensures employee safety when evacuating premises
Two males, two females and a child were rescued by firefighters using fire service ladders after the building below them caught fire. Area commander Garry Milne praised the firefighters involved describing it as a "textbook ladder rescue". Flats on either side of the affected part of the business premises in a district of Glasgow, Scotland, were evacuated as a precautionary measure. A joint investigation into the cause of the blaze will be carried out by Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and Strathclyde Police.
Suitable for any organisation, the Access Control UK Lite / Enterprise access control range of systems is capable of controlling a network across borders and even continents. Doors can be configured to open automatically on fire alarms and lock automatically on burglar alarms, enhancing building control. In the event of a fire the fire roll report is independently generated so that staff can be tallied at the pre-arranged evacuation point. Employees are registered as soon as they use their proximity read smart cards to exit the building.
